Spiritual Healing
The
problem with some of the "alternative" energy therapies out
there is that they are somewhat of a manipulation, rather than simply
focusing on the person with the intention of "healing", and allowing
whatever healing that's ready to take place, to take place. That's
actually all it takes… attention, because attention is Love,
and
the power of Love heals. We can't
force a particular thing to heal
if a person isn't ready to be healed of it, and we can't possibly think
that we know whether a person is ready to be healed of that particular
thing. The person has that problem, or is suffering, for a reason
(their lifestyle choices/karma). If
we forcefully interfere with that, we're getting involved with that,
and we're attracting it to us. Or to put it simply, we take on karma.
"Miracles
are habits and should be involuntary. They should not be under
conscious control. Consciously selected miracles can be misguided." - A
Course in Miracles
Truth/wisdom,
as well as Love/selflessness, is the answer to every problem in the
world. So, miracles and healings happen on their own, by ways of Love
and Truth, when they're ready to. The energy of Love/Truth is healing
because it's the answer to all things. The healings that Jesus (and
others) performed, absolutely anybody is capable of doing with nothing
more than gentle focus, attention, and the intention of "healing",
which doesn't require that word or thought. Just intention. Just
attention. Nothing more.
"Miracles occur naturally
as expressions of love. The real miracle is the love that inspires
them. In this sense, everything that comes from love is a miracle." - A
Course in Miracles
Get Out of the Way
But
neither the
healer nor the one being healed decides what exactly needs to be
healed. This is absolutely vital and cannot be forgotten. An individual
will be healed of whatever they are ready to be healed of, and we don't
know what that might be as much as we'd like to think that we do.
Spiritual healing involves getting out of the way and allowing ANY and
ALL possibilities. Let go of
what you think, and just allow.
"There
is no order of difficulty among miracles. One is not 'harder' or
'bigger' than another. They
are all the same. All expressions of love are maximal." - A Course in
Miracles
Also
on the topic of getting out of the way, there's another catch when it
comes to performing successful miracles and healings. You can't
take
credit for the healing/miracle. It's already been
explained that
healings happen on their own by ways of Love/Truth. To say "I healed
you" or "I am the healer", is ego, and ego is not selflessness. That
which is selfish is not Love. Success rates of healings and miracles
will diminish when ego is involved. The key to removing ego is to adopt
two things… humility and gratitude.
"Miracles
should inspire gratitude, not awe." "Awe is an inappropriate response
to miracles." "It is not appropriate for miracles because a state of
awe is worshipful. It implies that one of a lesser order stands before
a greater one." "The miracle, on the other hand, is a sign of love
among equals. Equals cannot be in awe of one another because awe
implies inequality." - A Course in Miracles
Give & Receive
The
healer is receiving a healing as well because by loving, they are being
Love, and Love heals. Love cannot be exhausted or used up either. In
fact it's quite the opposite. It's an INFINITE resource. The more one
practices Love, the greater it grows, and the more they are that Love.
The
more that one becomes pure perfected selfless Love, the more they
are
healing oneself. That's why highly effective 12 step
programs like Alcoholics Anonymous incorporate the practice of selfless
service.
"Miracles are teaching devices for
demonstrating that it is more blessed to give than to receive. They
simultaneously increase the strength of the giver and supply strength
to the receiver." "A miracle is never lost. It touches many people you
do not even know, and sometimes produces undreamed of changes in forces
of which you are not even aware. That is not your concern. The miracle
will always bless you." - A Course in Miracles
Distance Healing
There
is no such thing!
Why? Because there is no such thing as "distance". Love is not limited
to space and time because it's non-physical and formless. It makes no
difference whatsoever if a person is two feet away, or six thousand
miles away. Nor does it
take any longer for a person six thousand miles away to receive that
healing. Space, distance, and time are illusions created by limited
physical senses and ways of thinking. They're not real, and seeing
miracles happen for yourself will verify this for you. Everybody and
everything is connected, and essentially, All is One. You can call that
"One" thing whatever you want, whether it be "Universe", "Existence",
"God", "Buddha", "Self", "Nature", "Life", "Love", "Truth",
"Awareness", or whatever else you want.
Pick your word but don't reject the others, for they are all One.
Reconnective Healing
In
May 2006 I attended a weekend long levels 1&2 seminar for a
relatively "new" healing modality called Reconnective Healing. Here's
the quote they use to promote it…
"Why are
prominent doctors
and medical researchers all over the world interested in the
extraordinary healings reported by the patients of Dr. Eric Pearl? What
does it mean when these patients report the sudden disappearance of
afflictions such as cancer, AIDS-related conditions, and cerebral
palsy? And what does it mean when people who interact with Eric report
a sudden ability to access this healing energy not just for themselves,
but for others, too? What is this phenomenon?"
Countless
conditions and serious afflictions have been healed. Even birth defects
and disfigurements in some cases. Some people report increased
self-esteem, self-confidence, and deep feelings of inner peace. Others
feel organs reposition themselves, bones realign, energy sensations,
spontaneous body movements, and pain relief. For others, only
relaxation is felt. Some observe change only upon reflection over a
period of time as life flows more easily.
"Miracles
are expressions of love, but it does not follow that they will always
have observable effects." - A Course in Miracles
By
now it generally becomes clear that this involves healing on
all levels; physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
"Miracles
rearrange perception, and place the levels of perception in true
perspective. This heals at all levels, because sickness comes from
confusing the levels." - A Course in Miracles
How Reconnective Healing is Done
While
the
patient lies
on their back on a massage table, the practitioner simply moves their
hands at various distances from the patient and feels the "energy
frequencies" in their hands. The patient is supposed to simply take
notice of various sensations in the body. This is the power of
intention at work and the practitioner's hands are not even necessary.
They are only a focal point to keep the intention on "healing". It's
also important to point out that there is no "technique". How is it
possible to attach a technique to something as simple as intention and
attention? You can't. When you try to add to it, you're
actually taking away from it. You
can't improve upon that which is already perfect. (Love)
"It
is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put
into them that matters." - Mother Teresa
Ignore the New Ageism
While the practice of Reconnective Healing tries to avoid the silly new
age beliefs and superstitions of other healing modalities, it still
managed to fall right into a whole pile of different new age beliefs.
So really, the only downside of Reconnective Healing is some of the
"new age" philosophy that's involved, such as 12 strand DNA,
channeling, The Keys of Enoch, lei lines, time speeding up, etc. For
energetic resonance reasons, these are all best to be avoided because
what you choose to surround yourself with, rubs off on you, and becomes
you. (With channeling, you have no idea what the motives are of the
entities you're tapping into.)
True Spirituality
The surreal is not real. Reality with a capital "R" has no shape or
form whatsoever, and is beyond all intellectual concepts. Real
spirituality involves bettering oneself by ways of selfless Love and
higher levels of awareness/truth that help us let go of concepts and
thoughts because it's concepts and thoughts that obstruct peace (of
mind). Silence of mind = Peace of mind. Spirituality is
not the introduction of even more concepts, unless those concepts help
us let go of concepts. The basic principles of the Reconnective Healing
modality are beautiful, simple and Divine, as long as you don't get
involved with "the new age circus". No offense of course, people can
believe what they want to believe. This is just a friendly caution
based upon the level of awareness that I've personally experienced and
evolved to. It's best to avoid all new age beliefs, irrelevancies, and
harmful energies. There is nothing "new" about spirituality. Spirit is
not "new". It's Eternity.
"All
you need is love." - The Beatles
Now that my level
of awareness has expanded I don't do "Reconnective Healing" as it's
taught in the classes. I don't use "frequencies" or "energy"
because there is no reason to. If it involves "energy", that's fine,
but Love is beyond energy, and focusing on the energy instead of on
Love, limits is power and potential. Before I ever took the
Reconnective
Healing seminar I had tried practicing prayers for the sake of others
(who had no idea I was doing it for them), with some pretty impressive
results. After I went to the seminar, and over a little bit of time, I
came to the understanding of "Why would I need to play with any kind of
energies or frequencies when simple prayer more than does the trick?" It's not the
energies or frequencies that are doing the healing, it's the intention
and attention behind them that's doing the work, and
intention/attention is the exact same thing as Love. Looking for a Practitioner?
You've
already found one.
Just send me (Jarett) an email and ask!
(I often won't respond back, but the healing will be done.) Obviously
this is going to be a
"distance healing" (distance isn't real but I don't know what else to
call it). The process is very simple… you just ask, and then
you
go about your daily life as you always do. We don't need to schedule a
time, and I don't even need to know anything about you. I don't need to
know where in the world you live. I don't need to know if your problem
is physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. I don't need to know what
ails you. I
(mind & body) am not the doer or the healer. Love
is,
and Love/Awareness/Truth shines forth automatically by itself when the
mind is quiet, so it doesn't matter what kind of information this mind
knows. Love/God/Universe/Existence/Life/Nature/Awareness/Consciousness
is Infinitely Everything, and so it knows everything. If it knows
everything, then of course that love will go where it's supposed to go,
and it will be used in whatever way is appropriate. Neither of our
minds needs to worry about it.
My Spiritual Healing Practice
My
current "practice" that I do for others who email me asking for a
healing is more or less like this:
1. I sit right here in my
chair looking at the email, or the person's name in the email, and I
simply focus on "Love", "compassion", "Divinity", and "healing".
2.
Or sometimes I still do the prayer method where the intention/attention
is put into the physical form of asking, instead of a single word, like
this: "Please heal him/her of EVERYTHING they are READY to be healed
of." And I just repeat that over and over again silently in my head
while feeling compassion towards that person.
Either
way, it's the Love behind the words
that's doing the work. The words aren't even necessary.
Everybody is a Healer
Whether
you're sitting, standing, or laying down, with your eyes open or
closed, just focus (attention) on the person with kindness, caring,
compassion, and Divine Love, and do it for whatever length of time
you'd like. Physical distance between the two people is completely
irrelevant. Just remember that trying to force a specific healing to
take place is never a good idea. Just love. That's all there is to it!
Then just go on with your daily business as usual. You can even focus
on radiating Love to others anytime throughout your day; while walking
down the street, standing in the elevator, sitting on the bus, while
eating lunch, etc. You'll be amazed at just how radically your
"outside" life circumstances change as a result.
"The
success of love is in the loving - it is not in the result of loving.
Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person,
but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value
of what we have done." - Mother Teresa
The best way
to remove any doubts you may have is for you to practice it yourself,
on somebody else. Try directing the attention/intention of Divine Love
to some random person in your life who you think needs it, and don't
tell that person a thing. That way the placebo effect is completely out
of the equation. All you need is the Love that you already are, and
never doubt that that is what you are. Believe it with absolute
conviction. Let it swell up inside you, let it become you, let it
replace everything else that you think you are, let it radiate out to
the entire world touching everything. Nothing can stand in Love's way,
for it is the only power that there is. It is the Source of everything,
and it is the Source of your very Being. If you want, it might help to
focus on your heart bursting into an emmanating all-encompassing Divine
Love.
"Non-violence which is a quality of the heart,
cannot come by an appeal to the brain." - Ghandi
